About Creda

Chhattisgarh State Renewable Development Agency (CREDA) was establishment on 25th May,2001. The main was to promote Non-Conventional and Alternative Energy Sources. CREDA has been constituted UNDER Department of Energy, Govt. of Chhattisgarh for implementation of various schemes pertaining to Renewable Energy sources and Energy Conservation, registered under society Act 1973 on 25.05.01 Controlling body of CREDA is the governing body with energy Minister, C.G. State as Chairman. Most of the Scheme like National Programme on Biogas Development, Solar thermal, Solar Photo Voltaic, Village electrification and Biomass Gasifier sponsored by Ministery of non conventional & Renewable Energy Sources (MNRE), Government of India are implemented by CREDA, being the Nodal Agency i the State.
The Government of Chhattisgarh has notified Chhattisgarh State Renewable Development Agency (CREDA), as the Designated Agency to coordinate, regulate and enforce the provision of the Energy Conservation Act-2001 and implement schemes under the said Act with in the state if Chhattisgarh This us a significant step forward for CREDA, which as the state nodal agency now has the additional responsibility of promoting and developing energy Efficiency, besides facilitating Renewable Energy Development within Chhattisgarh.
In last 6 Year Since its establishment CREDA did extensive work in the field of Renewable Energy focusing on rural areas and stand alone devices. CREDA has implemented the projects in the field of generation of power from Renewable & Environment friendly resources. This has become main focus in country. To undertake this onerous responsibility CREDA has positioned itself as an organization with enough financial and human capabilities having a professional organizational structure. CREDA have also undertaken extensive human resource development activities which has created a modern working environment for our staff.
